“When extending and refurbishing their US home, the owners of this property wanted space. The end result is a bathroom so large, with spaces so carefully defined that visitors are impressed constantly. The clients’ wish list included separate shower and toilet areas, space to set down clothes, and as much natural light as possible. A skylight directly above the bath and a floor-to-ceiling exterior wall of glass in the shower — with a gorgeous garden view — provide amazing natural light. The skylight also allows for a play of light on the mosaic wall behind the bath. The owner, who has a penchant for stripes, designed the mosaic feature wall in collaboration. The beautiful timber-slatted bench leads directly into the dressing room.”

“The unique spa area is an outdoor oasis and centerpiece, offering privacy, relaxation and the ideal retreat. The Corian Lava surrounding the spa completes the look. Looking beyond the distinctive curves of the Villeroy & Boch basin, the Corian Glacier White bench-top with its integrated splash-back keeps the look smooth and streamlined. Mirrored cabinets and shelf units are set into the double-thickness wall, while one feature wall of elegant Calacatta marble provides instant luxury. With one whole wall given away to the glass window and door opening out to the private spa, the link between the indoor and outdoor areas is well-defined.”

They wanted a space that was stylish, timeless, and would enhance the grandeur of their US home and its surroundings. The en-suite is contemporary and luxurious. Special design features include the freestanding bath, full-width walk-in shower with feature mosaic tiles, generous double vanity, and quality fittings used throughout. The en-suite is unique because it’s so spacious and calls on the clever use of a simple color palette of white, grey and black.”
